The student can demonstrate an understanding of object names by correctly identifying an object or person.
The student can identify an object by its descriptor or provide a descriptor for the object.
The student can identify a character's actions in a familiar story and recall the consequences of those actions.
The student can compare and contrast two narratives about the same topic and identify similarities, differences, and the purpose for needing more than one narrative about a given topic (topic complexity).
After reading two texts on the same topic, the student can identify similarities and differences between the different elements of the text.
