  • RI.7.3 - Analyze the interactions between individuals, events, and ideas in a text (e.g., how ideas influence individuals or events, or how individuals influence ideas or events).

Initial Precursor

The student can use their knowledge of a category to draw conclusions about the characteristics of objects that are part of that category.

Distal Precursor

After reading an informational text, the student is able to distinguish the author's most important points.

Proximal Precursor

The student can identify the points that are made by an author of an informational text, and identify points that are related.

Target

After reading a text, the student can identify the relationships between individuals, events, and ideas and how they relate to one another.

Successor

The student is able to understand how details in an informational text relate and interact with one another in different ways.
